The purpose of the Pharmacy Program at Buckeye Community Health Plan (Buckeye) is to provide access to pharmacy services to our members, and to ensure that these services are a covered benefit, medically necessary, appropriate to the patient’s condition, rendered in the appropriate setting, and meet professionally recognized standards of pharmacy care.

In addition, the Pharmacy Program at Buckeye works to educate providers regarding the cost effective usage of drugs and to provide useful feedback about current prescribing habits to improve the quality of patient care.
