HEALTHCHEK is a preventive healthcare program for members from birth until the day before they turn age 21.
Preventive healthcare means visiting the doctor and the dentist regularly rather than waiting until you are sick. Buckeye covers HEALTHCHEK exams that help to find health problems early so that they can be treated before they become serious. You can obtain a HEALTHCHEK well-visit exam by calling your PCP’s office and scheduling an appointment. Make sure you tell them it is for HEALTHCHEK.
For additional information on the HEALTHCHEK program see Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 5101:3-14 or access the state of Ohio website.
